Queen’s University Archives takes on volunteers each year to help give students and members of the Queen’s community experience with working with original primary source material. The tasks assigned are varied and picked to suit the interest and experience needs of the volunteer, and well as the institutional needs of the Archives.
As a general rule, Queen’s University Archives will take up to ten volunteers at the beginning of the academic year (deadline of October 7th). This condition allows for the maximum amount of benefit to both the institution and the volunteer. If a student is interested, however, in doing an internship for a set period of committed time, the start date can be altered.
