Kingston Social History Tours
This past year, Queen's University Archives offered a series of interpreter-guided social history tours of Kingston. The five tours, "The Jewish Experience in Kingston," "A Prisoner's Life in Kingston," "The Gay and Lesbian History of Kingston," "A Black History of Kingston" and "The Chinese Community of Kingston," were a resounding success, with every tour booked to capacity. Articles about the tours can be found in the October 14, 2005 edition of Queen's Journal and on page 3 of the September 26, 2005 edition of Queen's Gazette.
In Spring 2006, Queen's Archives will be posting each of these topics as virtual tours. Until then, if you wish to obtain a tour transcript and route map for any of these tours, please contact the Archives at (613) 533-2378, or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
