Peter L. Twohig is a social historian of Canada, specializing in the history of health and medicine. He is the author of more than thirty peer-reviewed articles in scholarly journals such as British Medical Journal, American Journal of Bioethics, and Canadian Historical Review. He is also the author of three books and edited five essay collections. He was elected to the Royal Society of Canada College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists in 2014 and is a former president of the Canadian Society for the History of Medicine. He is currently the President of the Canadian Association for the History of Nursing. He spends as much time as possible conducting archival research.
